Agri-giant addressing water use
ST. LOUIS – Monsanto Co. said Wednesday it is investing $6 million in a new center in Gothenburg, Neb., that will focus on technologies, corn breeding and agronomic practices to address water management in crop production.
The Monsanto Water Utilization Learning Center will expand the size and focus of the company’s existing facility in Gothenburg. Monsanto plans to begin construction of the new facility this summer, pending acquisition of the land. Construction is slated for completion sometime in 2009.
