No water woes for Philippines… maybe
MANILA – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) on Saturday assured that the country will not face a water crisis.
In the dzMM radio program “Para Sa’yo Bayan” of Vice President Noli de Castro, DENR Secretary Lito Atienza said that the country has enough water supply, particularly for Metro Manila and Central Luzon.
However, Atienza said some regions might encounter “distribution problems” but they will have enough water supply.
DENR added that water supply in the country is “more than enough” for this year.
