The city of Los Angeles proposes new water restrictions
LOS ANGELES – In response to growing concerns over drought in Southern California, the city of L.A. has proposed new water restrictions for city residents. If passed, the new bill would supersede the 1990 provisions.
Under the proposal, residents would be limited to watering their lawns for only 15 minutes a day, restaurants would be barred from serving water unless patrons specifically request a glass, and residents would be banned from using water out-of-doors when it rains.
