Water minister looks to long-term infrastructure plans
ADELAIDE – Water Minister Penny Wong has signalled the government’s goal of moving beyond water restrictions in Australia with a long-term plan to tackle infrastructure.
After years of rules and regulations on when homeowners can turn on a hose, Senator Wong says she wants to work with the states to introduce measures that will end the bureaucratic rules and regulations.
Senator Wong predicted working with the states to introduce desalination alternatives and stormwater recycling could provide the solution.
