Wisconsin Lawmakers Urged To Safeguard Water
MANITOWOC, Wisconsin — State legislators must move quickly to pass the Great Lakes Compact to block communities from outside the region from accessing the lakes’ water, Lt. Gov. Barbara Lawton said Wednesday.
Lake Michigan “sparkles like a jewel, and we can see the lust for it,” said Lawton, speaking in front of a 143-foot yacht under construction at Burger Boat Co.
