Musicians Tune In For World Water Day
From Schubert to spirituals, a medley of musicians will gather on March 22 in New York City to celebrate World Water Day.
The narrated performance honoring water will encompass classical music, as well as compositions from around the world. The concert is hosted at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Performers will include Eli Wallach (narrator), with Mayim Water music by Israeli Ensemble Rafi Malkiel; the Harlem Vocal Arts Ensemble; and Metropolitan Opera soloists Camellia Johnson (soprano), Terry Cook (bass baritone), and Sirena Huang (violin).
