Randall Hackley is a former Associated Press and Bloomberg correspondent who has reported from 18 countries across four continents. A native of Los Angeles, he is a University of Colorado graduate who worked for newspapers in California and Florida before being posted to Texas, New York, Buenos Aires, Zurich and now London. He founded Bloomberg's water news initiative and has been listed one of the top media water influencers for two years. He has helped the World Bank edit news about its Africa water programs and written for the Stockholm International Water Institute's WaterFront magazine. An avid hiker, he recently trekked England's coast-to-coast path from the Irish Sea to the North Sea and before that completed the Tour du Mont Blanc trail from France to Italy, Switzerland and back to France. He is on a mission to visit as many glaciers as possible and is fond of both Mouton Cadet and dulce de leche.
