Rethinking green lawns
SALT LAKE CITY – According to the Utah Rivers Council, nearly 70 percent of the water consumption in Utah is for outdoor purposes and that almost half of that is used to overwater lawns. By simply designing and managing our yards in a way more suited to our climate, we can save billions of gallons of water per year.
